Applied July 11th reached 12th NSC. I-140 approved from Texas, 08/12/2007 LUD on I-140. No receipts yet. No idea checks have been cashed or not (attorneys checks)

Dates move ahead means almost all people before 8 Jan 2005 will get their GC in Sep 2009.
If that comes not true then DOS has given Spill over visas to Eb2 india on day 1 of new quarter and will do same for every quarter. If this is the case then date will move forward only in Jan 2010 bulletin.
and if they moved date forward because there are only few hundreds case between Jan 8 and Jan 22 2005 then we will see very big movement in Aug - Sep 2009. There are very few Labor since Nov 2008. So Eb2 ROW will not utilize even 10k visas in next year thus Eb2 row will donate 20k + visas to Eb2 india and Eb1 do same ... if Eb4 and Eb5 doesnot get renewal before Sep 30th then expect 5k more visas total almost 55k Spill over to Eb2 india and China which will make Eb2 C by Sep 2010..

I am NSC-CSC-NSC person. I opened service request for not receiving FP.
I got a response from NSC after 30 days that my case is waiting for an opening at local ASC for FP. what an idiotic response !!
I called them again and they said that since they have responded to service request, only thing to do is wait 60 days more. they cannot again file service request. I guess I have to just keep trying till I get a good rep.

It's almost 3 weeks today since I've opened SRs for my self and my spouse for not receiving FP notice and we haven't got any notice yet.
I want to know if some one who opened a SR for FP and did not receive any FP notice after the wait period expired, what did you do? Is taking an infopass the next step for missing FP notices or just wait and watch?

I am happy to announce that I have received the EAD cards today (just like rc0878 had suggested). I should not have doubted the encouragement and estimation of the experience here.
So, I received the EAD cards dated Sept 18th, expiry is one year from the issue date i.e. Sept 17th, 2008 (unlike someone else's cards which were valid for only 3 months).
Let me know if someone wants to ask any other information.

I received my (and my family's) transfer notice (and hence the WAC### nos.) for 485 application yesterday at my residence. The cases were filed in CA by my lawyer (filing from MD). The cases have been transferred to TX.
I am yet to receive any notice/tracking no. for EAD and AP applications. The checks were made by the lawyer so that is not an option.
Questions::confused:
1) Does transfer mean delay in processing ?
2) Is EAD tracking no. different from the 485 no. ? If so, where can I get that from ?
3) Are they still issuing EADs in about a couple of months ? If so, that is great. If not, when does the 90-day clock start for INFOPASS ? (if it is an option in this incresed activity)
Any answers or discussions or links to the solutions are welcome.
Good luck to everyone for the speedy processing.:D

I had read on the other forums about people receiving phone-calls from USCIS with enquiries about the employer, client, wages etc. They introduce themselves as USCIS personnel and take sensitive information from people. Could they be imposters from the Anti-Immi Side. I do urge caution not to give any Info on the phone. If USCIS wanted info from the H1B holder, they would have done it through regular mail.

I have been saying all along that one can get a same/similar job after 180 days irrespective of the whether I-140 was approved or not. I don't know why some people / lawyers spread so much mis-information on this topic.

For argument sake, if 1st I-140 is approved after, say 360 days, and the beneficiary is already working for the 2nd employer (after waiting for 182 days), what is the sanctity of 1st employer being willing and capable of hiring at this time when there is no intention of beneficiary to work for him.
Bottom line is (I am contracdicting my own argument of previous post), longer the USCIS takes in approving 1st I-140, less is the need of 2nd I-140 by the new employer.
There are always grey areas in law, otherwise we don't need lawyers:).

Any lobbying for immigration is tough at the time of recession. I think you are trying to do advocacy effort. Without getting approval from core IV group it will not be any use as advocacy effort only will not work. Senators will note your concerns and will act only if some bill is introduced. You need lobbying with advocacy effort for changing any law. Lobbyists will lobby only at right time as if they do in wrong time it will backfire.
I disagree
1) Mr.Obama (Change) alone don't have to do something about it? he can direct his DHS and CIS people to do their jobs right.. just because of economy is bad that does not mean people stop eating and kids stop going school.
2) We and institutions like IV needs to come up with agenda to lift this country quota ban (at least to eleminate this huge backlog)
3) IV says they have agenda but nobody knows what thier laundry list is.
4) We need to work for lifting this country quota ... this is the only way out.

Received FP notice today. The online tracker says following:

My lawyer confirmed that the application was posted on august 2nd 07.
Can anyone help me figure out when is my receipt date? And from which date can I start counting 6 months to file ac21 ?
