He is saying what is the truth. Do you believe that Indian universities are as good as American? If so, why do we come here?
Simple answer is jobs in the US pay better than jobs in India, therefore people come here for the economic opportunity.
As far as Wadhwa's statements disparaging the quality of Indian education go, he is looking after his interests. He runs an engineering program at Duke and needs to keep students interested in enrolling. How many students will keep enrolling once they find out they are being royally fleeced by American universities and that they could go to India and get a equivalent or better degree for a fraction of the price?

Does PD exist just to be able to file I-485? Or as some members say, does it also play a role after filing I-485 for adjudication? Does CIS go by PD or RD when the visas are limited?
Let's say A has PD(Priority date) Dec 2004 and RD(Receipt Date) Jul 25 2007, and B has PD Mar 2007 and RD Jul 2 2007. Who would be adjudicated first?

They're not applicable in this situation however.
You need to hunger-strike when your lawmakers don't listen to you when you have no representation.
Here, lawmakers will listen if you know how to lobby.
A lot of people try to copy Gandhi's actions literally. Copy the philosopy if you must, not the direct actions.

I am on H1 and AOS and I refinanced my house at 5% . There were no issues and no questions. Just all the usual documents - W2 , paystubs etc etc . It was with a local bank too and not with any high profile institution.

This has been discussed before, People can send in checks of whatever denomination or pay it thru their banks - Set it up as automatic payment every month if they like. (for smaller denominations).
$50 monthly is minimum. In any case, is $50 a big amount? for such a cause?

For the ROW category, the manual seems to indicate that they have a general date (such as in the Visa Bulletin) but I would expect that they have many visa counts for each country..... Anyone have a quick synopsis of how they handle that?

I checked 2007 return and it has only 100K asset. I am not sure we accumulated 350K since then. I think you got confused with revenue vs. cash on hand / asset.

@OP, Yes. You can open LLC and/or S-Corp on EAD. If you plan on working for the same company, I suggest you do it in the name of your significant other if you are (un)lucky like me and married. Also checkout the option of "LLC filing taxes as a S-Corp". Here is link to more details from IRS.

started processing GC in 2003
filed 1st application in 2003 - application went to backlog elimination center
left the company, filed second application in March 2006 - EB2
got I 140 approval in 2006
applied for I485 in June 2007
Waiting till today for the I485 approval

All postings on IV should identify the user as contributing member or a Free User.
That change will help IV to increase Funding ..
I will sign up for monthly recurring to IV if I see above change ..

If you have time, please feel free to write the component compatible with joomla, paypal and google-checkout to implement this. We need to focus our energy on the action items, which will bring the benefit to immigration community through the bills that are in table.

Hi All,
I want to know if my 19 year old son can be affected by aging out.
I have just received ALC certification and will now file I140 and I485 concurrently as my priority date NOV 22 2004 EB3 Rest of World will be current in June.
Can someone who understands the aging out rules tell me if my son may have a problem?

Based on the information provided, I believe your son will not be affected.
Please help others who aren't so lucky by writing to senators and house representatives on the age-out issue. You could add this issue to IV's standard letter. None of the bills being considered currently benefit children of would-be legal immigrants, while the children of illegal immigrants are protected by the proposed DREAM ACT.
Appreciate your contribution to IV.
