I don't think its much different from what is posted. Only one time contributions are being considered for this event.
I have a shared doc with StarSun and all known ones have been accounted for the above total.
Only one month left to achieve our funding goals.
It does look like there are only a few hundred (~200) willing to actively participate for the good of others. About 0.04 % of all EB2, EB3 filers.
One possible strategy.......
Dividing 50,000 into that, it will be great if you hardworking people, fighting for legal immigrants, can touch about $200-400 each,
while the rest watch from the sidelines and cheer for us :), and also debate & analyze spiritedly.....

I'm confused!
I am July 2nd filer from last year. I did receive a FP notice in Oct 2007 but couldn't go for it. I sent a letter asking for another date but TSC..So go figure!
Now my FP is not done and I am current next month.
My company does only paper based filing for EAD. (Is e-filing costly?)
Will I not get any FP notice again?
I have tried calling TSC and no response after putting a SR. I tried dropping in at an ASC here and they didn't take my FP either..
Does paper based filing not trigger FP? Is it slower?

Today I spoke to a Representative who deals with immigration issue at Sen Mike Dewine's (R-OH) office. I spoke to him for 15 minutes to understand what he and his senator think about this CIR.
Here is he and his senator feels about this bill. It is difficult for him to say that when CIR bill will be introduced in senate floor . It depend on Majority and Minority leaders to decide. Majority leader told to the media that he will introduce before the end of the may, he is mostly consistent, but there are several bills where he has committed a timeline and till today it is not on the floor.
However he told that once CIR pass, legal immigration is already taken care of, but if it does not passes there are bills like SKIL which will be put before the floor. But CIR has to fail or pass before you see this SKILL bill on the floor.

"EB-2 India. This category is expected to remain unchanged or to move very slowly forward (by a week or so) in the short-term. Guys wake up and fight to make the porting rules veryu strong if not stop porting. The rule should be if I140 for porting is denied then the applicatnt should loose his/her initial EB3 priority date also as he /she has indicated that he/she is no longer working in the position as described in EB3 labor. This will make sure that fradulent applicants cannot port from EB3 to EB2.

As per the discussion's from other threads about LUD, it's been largerly agreed that there is no relavance between the LUD change/not change to one's 485 application. Hopes this will clear your doubt.

For those wondering what's going on in this thread...here's a brief synopsis:
We are collecting pledges to file a lawsuit against USICS against these random and opaque processing of GC's. Our target is to get 1000 affected people to pledge atlaset $100 each so that we can fund this lawsuit. No money being collected right now..just honest pledges.
There is a current list of members who have pledged support on the link below.

To all sorts of flower campaigns,
Let us first complete July 10th mission flower campaign, where many people here including me has sent flowers for july 10th delivery.
Let us see its impact by July 11th and then try another round by sending flowers to local senators and congressmen with simple message of costs involved and lost money and oppurtunity by revised july bulletin.
Also, unless we make explicit mention of costs involved, i think impact wouldnot be felt.
Please plan the missions one after the other.

I felt the need to explain "why the over subscription and what part USCIS had in it" and also in the mean time point to the "overzealous work done by USCIS on June 30 and July 1st".
Sentence in the press release: However, due to over-subscription, thousands of highly-skilled workers, including engineers, scientists and health care professionals have been waiting patiently for years in order to be eligible to apply for their Green cards.
My take on this: Due to inefficiency of USCIS in the past years, 187,000+ visas have been wasted according to Ombudsman report. This act is to be blamed partly for the present scenario of over-subscription of thousands of law abiding and tax paying highly-skilled workers, including engineers, scientists and health care professionals who have been waiting patiently for years in order to be eligible to apply for their Green cards.
USCIS's sudden backlog reduction efforts during the past month have resulted in the use of almost 60,000 Employment numbers among which 18,000 were used on June 30 (Saturday) and July 1st (Sunday) according to (Quote source).

actually the other question is why doesnt Murthy or IV asks the USCIS (whenever they get a chance to meet) ..to give a breakdown of the 485 pending by category by country. one would hope that atleast someone in uscis has access to such reports .. any idea, thoughts ??
